Sudanese Track “Liga” by Connan Played at Coachella 2026 by DJ Brunello

American electronic music DJ and producer Brunello played a remix of Sudanese artist Connan’s track “Liga” at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026 on 17 April.

Better known simply as Coachella, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is one of the world’s most prominent music and arts festivals, held annually at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The 2026 edition, marking its 25th year, ran from 10 to 19 April and featured headliners including Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G.

Brunello (@brunello_mellowcircus), an emerging San Diego-based DJ and producer and founder of Mellow Circus Records, made his Coachella debut with a packed set at the Do LaB stage. He delivered a mix of original and unreleased tracks, including “Helium” and “Moody Melanie”, underscoring his rapid rise from camping at the festival just a year earlier. Known for blending tech house with theatrical, circus-inspired elements, he has also gained attention for tracks such as “Melted” and “Lost in the Mellow Circus”.

Based in Egypt, Connan has recently emerged on the Sudanese music scene, building momentum with a growing catalogue of tracks. He released his debut song, “El Raid El Bina“, in February 2024, quickly gaining a loyal following. His biggest hit to date, “Liga”, dropped with a music video in August 2024 and has surpassed 1.5 million views, while the audio version has also performed strongly with over 1.2 million streams. More recently, he released new tracks including “Gang Gang” on 15 April 2026 and “Tani” on 4 April 2026.

This is significant because it marks a Sudanese track reaching the global stage, with Connan’s “Liga” being played at Coachella, one of the world’s most influential music festivals, highlighting the growing international visibility of Sudanese music.
