Singer Assala to Release Song with Rapper Esaam Satti

Sham Al Zahabi, daughter of Arabic singing sensation Assala Nasri, announced on social media a new song collaboration between her mother and Sudanese rapper Esaam Satti.

Written by Satti, the upcoming song will see Assala singing in the Sudanese dialect. It marks Assala’s first collaboration with a Sudanese singer and Satti’s first collaboration with a non-Sudanese singer.

Satti is well known in Sudan’s hip hop scene and frequently performs with singer Ali Naseraldeen. In September 2026, he released “TANABIL” and “SADA LON KHAMRI” with rapper Hleem Taj Alser. He has also helped bridge Sudanese hip hop and traditional folk music through collaborations with Sudanese folk singer Eman El Shareef.

The upcoming collaboration is part of a project in which Assala is releasing songs in different Arabic dialects. She is preparing to release four new songs in Algerian, Libyan, Sudanese and Syrian dialects. The new Syrian track was written and composed by Amjad Jomaa, following their recent successful collaboration. The four releases mark another step in Assala’s career-long exploration of different sounds, styles and dialects.

Born in 1969, Assala is a renowned Syrian singer known for her powerful voice and emotional delivery. She released her 14-track project, The Syrian Album, on 7 September 2026 through Rotana. She recently performed in Syria for the first time in 15 years, following years of exile.

Assala has previously performed in Sudan at a private occasion more than 10 years ago. She has also performed Sudanese songs and incorporated Sudanese cultural references into her performances, most recently performing a song by the late Sudanese singer-songwriter Mohammed Al Amin.
