Sudanese-Dutch teenager Mohamed Abdalla has made history by becoming the youngest-ever goalscorer for a Dutch club in a European competition.
The 16-year-old achieved the milestone during Ajax’s emphatic 4–1 away victory over FK Vojvodina in a UEFA Conference League qualifier on 23 July 2026, marking a dream senior debut for one of the club’s brightest academy prospects.
Introduced from the bench late in the match, the central midfielder needed just 3 minutes and 8 seconds to make his mark. Bursting through the defence with confidence, Abdalla calmly slotted home in the 90th minute to cap Ajax’s impressive victory.
At 16 years and 277 days old, Abdalla became the youngest player ever to score for a Dutch club in UEFA competition. The achievement drew widespread praise from football pundits, former players and Ajax supporters, further enhancing his reputation as one of Europe’s most exciting young talents.
