In recognition of her scientific and professional contributions, Dr Maria Satti received the Achievement and Excellence Award at the MENA Hematology Congress 2026 in Alexandria.
She was the only Sudanese to be recognised at the conference.
Organised by Leaders Conferences Organizers, the congress was held from 8 to 10 April 2026 at the Sunrise Alex Avenue Hotel.
Professor Dr Maria Satti is a Sudanese physician and clinical haematologist currently based in Cairo. She previously worked within government and public hospital systems in Khartoum and has been affiliated with University of Khartoum and other medical research groups. She has contributed to studies on leishmaniasis and related diseases, which remain major public health concerns in Sudan.
