Sudanese singer Jafar Amin has been named the winner of XPERFORM 2025, a talent discovery and singing competition presented by the MDLBEAST Foundation, the Saudi-based entertainment organisation deeply rooted in music culture.
As the winner, Amin earns a life-changing opportunity to kick-start his professional career through a collaboration with MDLBEAST Records, and a live performance at SOUNDSTORM 2025, one of the world’s largest music festivals.
Based in Saudi Arabia, Amin is the younger brother of singer, songwriter, and music producer Ahmed Amin. He has recently released tracks including “Mashattat” and “KALNAR” after his hit song “SODA” in 2023, further cementing his growing presence on the regional music scene.
The fourth season of XPERFORM officially launched on 27 October 2025, with a premiere event at VOX Cinemas, Roshn Front in Riyadh. Powered by VOX, the series streamed weekly exclusively on MBC Shahid, the first free video-on-demand and leading TV catch-up service in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, from November 2025.
The series continues its mission to uncover and empower the next generation of vocal talent across the MENA region. Hosted by Mohammed Alharbi and Rasha, this year’s judging panel features regional icons and industry powerhouses Sudanese rapper Dafencii, Emirati singer Shamma Hamdan, Palestinian-Jordanian composer and singer Aziz Maraka, and Saudi jewellery designer and the A&R at MDLBEAST Records Rawan Al Fassi, each bringing their unique expertise, experience, and passion for nurturing emerging artists.
With a similar format of The Voice, contestants from across the region took the stage to showcase their talent, with each aspiring artist required to secure at least three “Yes” votes during the live auditions to advance. Only 12 contestants progressed to the next phase, where the stakes get higher with challenges testing not just vocal ability but originality, confidence, and audience connection. The Battle Round featured the top six contestants on 4 December, followed by the Grand Finale on 5 December, during XP Music Futures in Riyadh, MDLBEAST Foundation’s annual music conference and gathering of global industry leaders.
Now in its fourth year, XPERFORM has grown beyond a mere competition, becoming a movement championing regional creativity, self-expression, and cultural exchange.
