In a decisive Group D match of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™, Sudan lost to Bahrain 3-1 on Tuesday, 9 December 2025 at the Education City Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
Despite being already eliminated from the quarter-finals, the Falcons of Jediane played hard and strong, and secured their first goal of the Arab Cup, a victory that allowed them to say goodbye to the competition with pride.
In the second half, Yasir Mozamil surprised with a goal in the 72nd minute, briefly equalising the score 1-1 and keeping Sudan’s slim hopes of reaching the quarter-finals alive. However, the red card for Mohamed Ahmed in the 57th minute left the team with 10 men and forcing the coach to make substitutions that were not enough. Mozamil’s goal was a spark of hope, but soon after Bahrain scored their second goal (2-1) and it became clear that Sudan did not have the finishing power to truly fight for qualification.
The FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™ concludes for both Group D teams with clear lessons: Sudan is eliminated, forced to reflect and improve for future tournaments.
