As millions of Sudanese continue to be displaced across the world, to congratulate Sudanese people around the world, major Sudanese companies, from food and beverage brands to telecommunications providers, released special Ramadan productions. Among them, Bank of Khartoum and Sudani unveiled commercial songs around the first day of Ramadan on 18 February 2026. These Ramadan commercial songs reminisce about celebrating the holy month in Sudan, evoking nostalgia while also inspiring hope for a return home and reunion with family and loved ones.

Produced by Mshakil Beatz for Bank of Khartoum, this deeply patriotic, heartfelt and nostalgic track brings together three Sudanese artists from different musical genres: Hajer Mohamed Hassan, widely known as the queen of commercial jingles; the vocally gifted traditional singer Ali Alshikh; and rapper-singer Kordofani.

“Lamat Baresh”, also known as Al Dara’a, a traditional Sudanese practice of communal eating during the holy month of Ramadan, where people, mostly men and boys, gather in their neighbourhood streets for fatoor (iftar) and share food to ensure everyone has something to eat. Each participant brings a large dish and/or beverage from home to share, and the invitation is open to all, including passersby and strangers-anyone who passes by is welcome.
